What is an “aerial adventure park”?2022-06-09T11:17:04-04:00

An aerial adventure park is a mixture of bridges, ladders, climbing elements and zip lines spread throughout acres of beautiful forest. Groups of elements link together to form separate courses – each of a varying difficulty level.

Although every course has zip lines, you will need to climb, maneuver and traverse the various elements to reach them. There’s much more fun than just zip lining to be had!

How many courses do you have?2023-03-27T11:26:41-04:00

There are 10 courses in total. The courses have varying difficulty levels ranging from beginner to expert. The courses are designed for everyone to enjoy and are designated by skill level as yellow, green, blue, black and double black, similar to ski slopes. View our course map for more information.

Safety comes first and the fun and excitement will come naturally.

As one progresses through the difficulty levels, the bridges become less stable under your feet, requiring more balance, agility, focus and arm strength. Our courses are designed for climbers of all ages and skill levels – you do not need to be a body builder to make it through the courses!

Some courses do have minimum age requirements. Please visit our Course Rules & Safety page for more information.

Is your park fun or just for exercise?2022-06-09T11:20:30-04:00

Adventure climbing is about personal challenge and achievement. It’s a blast for young and old alike!

Whether you’re in shape or a couch potato, you’ll enjoy the outdoors like never before.

There’s not a “correct” way of crossing the bridges. We leave it up to you to figure out the most efficient way of getting from platform to platform.

Other than the Course Rules, the only requirement we have is that your harness be worn at all times and that you are always attached to the life lines by one of your safety lanyards (provided upon arrival).

What if I’ve never been on an adventure course before?2022-06-09T11:21:05-04:00

Don’t worry – we specialize in servicing first-time climbers.

Our park monitors and guides will give you a training session before your first climb.

Our courses are designed to be self-guided, with all of the proper safety equipment provided.

While you climb, our park monitors and guides will always be available to help.

What should we wear?2022-06-09T11:22:14-04:00

Wear well-fitting clothing that does not allow anything to hang loose or get tangled in the cables or rope. Long hair and jewelry should not be left loose. Sneakers or hiking shoes are recommended. Close-toed shoes are required — heels, flip-flops and sandals are not acceptable.

Isn’t it really hot to climb there in the summer?2022-06-09T11:23:16-04:00

Not necessarily.

Our park is situated in a beautiful grove of Old Florida live oak trees that provide ample shade throughout your climb. Many folks find climbing on our course comfortable during even the hottest days of the summer.

We also offer “unlimited bottled water” wristbands for a nominal fee to ensure you stay hydrated throughout the day.

What are the height, weight and fitness requirements?2022-06-09T11:24:15-04:00

There are no height restrictions.

There is no minimum weight, but all climbers must weigh no more than 265 pounds.

If you can climb stairs, then you’re fit enough to climb at our park. However, some of the more challenging courses (especially the black and double black courses) can be physically demanding. We recommend you start on one of our beginner courses and then work your way up from there.

Always arrive prepared on the day of your adventure. Do not climb on an empty stomach and be sure to stay hydrated before and during your climb.

Our park is not appropriate for those with heart conditions, those with recent bone or joint injuries, pregnant women or those who are physically unwell.

Customers who are under the influence or impairment of alcohol or drugs will not be allowed to climb.

What are the age requirements?2022-06-09T11:25:15-04:00

Climbers from age 1 to 99+ are welcome to climb our courses. However, for our younger climbers there are age restrictions on which courses can be used. A chart with participation and supervision requirements can be found on our Course Rules Page.

What are your ticket prices?2022-06-22T11:19:03-04:00

Ticket pricing can be found on our Pricing Page. Every climber must purchase a ticket – harnesses may not be shared.

Group rates are available for groups of 10 or more. Please complete a Group Reservation Request Form or call us at 813-381-5400 for more information.

What is the time duration of each ticket?2022-06-09T11:27:42-04:00

We sell three-hour tickets. You are encouraged to be fully prepared prior to buying your ticket so you can maximize your time in the park (i.e. use the restroom, dress properly and be well hydrated).  Every climber must purchase a ticket – harnesses may not be shared.

When is TreeHoppers open?2022-06-22T11:18:33-04:00

A full schedule of open dates and times can be found here.

What equipment is provided?2022-06-09T11:30:06-04:00

A harness, safety lanyard and gloves are provided with your admission ticket.

How difficult are your courses?2022-06-09T11:30:57-04:00

The courses range in skill from easier (yellow) to expert (double black diamond). Relative to each person’s ability, the courses are very manageable but become more physically challenging as you progress to more difficult courses.

If you have not been up in the air before you may be unsettled at first about being 10 feet above the ground on a yellow course, or 20 feet above the ground at points on a green course. You will quickly begin to have fun with the varying challenges and height above the ground.

Your focus becomes being balanced and efficient on each bridge you are crossing. You will be secure in your harness as long as you are always attached to the lifeline with your safety lanyard.

What time do we need to arrive on the day of our adventure?2022-06-22T11:20:05-04:00

We ask that guests arrive 15 minutes prior to their climb time to allow enough time for check-in and proper equipment fitting.

You can save time at registration by filling out your waiver online.

What is your reservation, refund, and cancellation policy?2022-06-09T11:32:27-04:00

Purchasing a ticket to TreeHoppers is the same as purchasing a ticket for a movie or concert event. All sales are final. We do not issue refunds on any tickets or purchases.

TreeHoppers is open rain or shine and we recommend dressing accordingly for the weather. In the event of severe weather (such as thunder, lightning or high winds) the park may close until the severe weather subsides. Although we are unable to offer refunds, your time may be extended or vouchers may be made available for you to use towards future climbs in the event of any park closure, at our discretion.

Refunds are not provided in the event a climber weighs more than 265 pounds, a climber is impaired or intoxicated by drugs or alcohol, a climber decides not to partake in the climb due to fear of heights, medical issues, no-show, or rain/inclement weather.

Groups who place a deposit for a group climb must cancel within 3 weeks of their original scheduled climb date to receive a full refund of their deposit.

We recommend that you do not take any valuables (including phones, wallets, keys, etc.) with you on the courses. If you should drop one of these items, it may not be able to be recovered.

TreeHoppers is not responsible for lost or damaged personal items taken onto the courses.

Observers are welcome to watch at no cost, using any one of our ground paths.

Climbers can be observed from the ground throughout the course.

Are private group lessons available?2022-06-09T11:49:36-04:00

Do we need to hire a private guide? Can I hire a private guide to escort a child through the course?2022-06-09T11:50:26-04:00

All participants will be provided adequate training prior to their first climb. Our courses are intentionally designed for self-discovery, making guides unnecessary compared to many other courses that are offered elsewhere throughout the world.

While our hope is that both adults and children can explore together, we do have a limited number of private guides for hire for those who desire direct supervision throughout their climb.

Our private guides are familiar with all of our courses. Since our courses are designed for self-discovery, private guides are not intended as instructors. Rather, guides provide some added aerial supervision. For some individuals it is just more fun to climb with another person.

A private guide can provide an added level of supervision for children on courses that only require adult supervision from the ground.

A private guide can accompany an adult (or group of adults) that would feel more comfortable climbing with someone more familiar with the courses.

A private guide can provide children access to courses that are required to be climbed with an adult.

If interested in booking a private guide, please call ahead to make sure that one is available (813-381-5400).

What courses can be used with a private guide?2022-06-09T11:51:40-04:00

Climbing in the park with a private guide does not change what courses you are allowed to use. Please see the Park Rules more information on what courses are open to which age groups and what kind of supervision is required.

What is the cost of a private guide?2022-06-09T11:52:28-04:00

Private guides are available to experience the course with you for $45 per hour.
